LYN BECKETT

Award winning painter Lyn Beckett grew up in Yorkshire, England.

After studying Fine art (Painting and Printmaking) she graduated in 1992.

She later moved to the Highlands of Scotland where she lived and worked, both painting and running the very successful Solas Gallery for over twenty years with fellow artist Rob Howard.

Lyn's paintings explore disperate elements in nature and still life composition but are not rooted in time or space. Contrasting elements in colour and image are juxtaposed to express unusual and vibrant harmonies, qualities which themselves become the subject of the work. Her work has been shown at major galleries and more recently larger pieces commissioned by private collectors.
